You enter the grand foyer via impressively carved doors, framed by long, elegant side panels. The ceiling comes up in a soaring, sky-lit vault, but despite this grand sense of scale, the house is impressively crafted down to its small details--note the trim and the tray ceiling effect. The grand foyer opens up the house, and several rooms spread before you.
Crossing the impressive slate floor, you enter the kitchen. The kitchen, like most of the main level, features wide-plank walnut hardwood from Carlisle of Maine's prestige collection. The house has both primary and secondary service kitchens. The primary kitchen features a host of impressive amenities, worthy of the most serious chef and convenient and accessible for any home cook. The Wolfe gas range, with commercial grade exhaust, the sub-zero fridge with a glass door, and the fact that the standard oven under the range is supplemented by a second wall convection oven are all enormously handy. Via sliding glass double-doors, from here you can enter the formal dining room. Here you'll find porcelain tile floors and a second wet bar. The room comfortably seats fourteen people. The living room is slightly recessed, and the difference between its floor-height and that of the kitchen give the house a pleasing flow of space and textures. The living room also offers prime views of the woods via its large windows. It benefits from a whole-home commercial-grade entertainment solution, with six-speaker surround sound here and in the lower family room.
Near the kitchen and living room, we find an elegant half-bath, with quartz countertops, large-tile flooring, recessed lighting and a wooden backsplash.
From the living room, we progress to the stone-floored solarium. Here we find a custom-built entertainment center. Like the living room, it has a commercial-quality sound system. We can also see the built-in bookshelves and display nooks, and the custom cabinetry by Andy Werth, with floating walnut bases, high-gloss acrylic cabinet doors and quartz tops, which persist throughout the home.
The whole house also features fully-programmable lighting controls, a security system with cameras viewable from the television that can be controlled with the mobile device of your choice, and a smart thermostat. There are custom light fixtures and accent lighting (all LED, for energy efficiency) throughout the house, and touch activated, fully programmable Grafik-T light switches. There's also a brand new high efficiency HVAC system. A total of sixteen skylights throughout every corner of the home provide natural light, and every chandelier is a custom-made work of art.
We find such a chandelier in the master suite, which we enter through a pleasingly substantial set of double wooden doors. The bedroom offers a built-in walnut entertainment center, and there's a cozy, private sitting room off of the main bedroom area, complete with a gas fireplace. This room overlooks the pool.
The master bathroom features a smooth white jetted tub and huge walk-in tile shower with multiple jets and custom tile-work. Here you'll find a double vanity with a beautiful custom back splash and recessed storage. Some of the walls in this room curve softly, giving the space character, a kind of warmth and intimacy. This bathroom gives access to a private deck. The master suite has two separate water closets. One of these has a private single vanity, as well as additional closet space.

The rail's design marries the vertical leitmotif that unites many of the house's design motifs with an inviting, swirling curve. Newly remodeled, the bar features a high-capacity wine closet, housed behind glass doors with accent lighting.
