Russell Boulevard Elementary School

Russell Boulevard Elementary School opened in 1958. The school got its name from its location off Russell Boulevard.
The Russell mascot is the Ravens.
The school colors are green and white.
The 2012-13 enrollment at Russell is 589.
The district's Hearing Impairment Program is part of our school. Russell promotes physical fitness through family-oriented programs and activities.

Shepard Boulevard Elementary School

Shepard Boulevard Elementary School opened in 1968. It is located on part of what used to be the 
Shepard Dairy Farm.
The Shepard mascot is the Stallions.
The 2012-13 enrollment at Shepard is 597.
All Shepard classrooms have a Smartboard, data projector, iPad, and mini iPad. We have three mobile computer labs and one large computer lab for students to assess various technology resources.
Shepard is a nationally recognized LEADER IN ME school. The LEADER IN ME receives national recognition for its emphasis on developing leadership in young children. The principles of this work are from Dr. Stephen R. Covey, author of the 7 HABITS OF HIGHLY EFFECTIVE PEOPLE. These principles teach habits that develop the whole child to become leaders immediately in preparation for their many opportunities to be leaders tomorrow.

Two Mile Prairie Elementary School

Two Mile Prairie Elementary School opened in 1963. According to PTA information, the Judy School, the
 Murry School, and the Jacobs School in rural Boone County merged in the 1960s and the organization
 voted on the name. Two Mile Prairie became a part fo the Columbia Public School District
 during 1972-73.
The mascot is the Prairie Dogs.
The school colors are red and white.
The 2012-13 enrollment at Two Mile Prairie is 336.

West Boulevard Elementary School opened in 1950. It is named for its location on West Boulevard. 

The mascot is the Bobcat.
The school colors are blue and white.
The 2012-13 enrollment at West Boulevard is 375.
West Boulevard, considered the district's model school, has transformed itself over the last five years. With a focus on enrichment and intervention, favorable teacher-to-student ratios, and an active and involved school community, West Boulevard is a place where all students learn.

Alpha Hart Lewis Elementary School is named for Alpha Hart Lewis, the first and only woman 
superintendent of the former Boone County rural school system (1943-1951) and a teacher of 
children from 1913-1978.
The Alpha Hart Lewis mascot is the Huskies.
The school colors are blue and green.
The 2012-13 enrollment at Alpha Hart Lewis is 659.

Benton Elementary School

The original Thomas Hart Benton Elementary School opened in 1896. Thomas Hart Benton was one of
 the most colorful statesmen of the 19th century. An active supporter of statehood, he was elected in 
1820 as one of the first two senators from Missouri and served for 30 years. He championed the cause
 of the yeoman farmer and the interests of the western territories.
The Benton mascot is the Bee.
The school colors are black and yellow.
The 2012-13 enrollment at Benton is 299.
